Choosing and Attorney or Modification Company

What if You Can't Afford a Lawyer?

Posted on Saturday, April 25, 2009

Most state Bar Associations now have lawyers who volunteer to help people with their mortgage modifications and foreclosure defense. See the links on this website for some.

And those readers who know of others, by all means let us know and we'll add them.

When working with these pro bon lawyers, use the same tips you would use to keep your legal fees down (see blog entry under this category) to respect the lawyers time. After all he or she is volunteering to help you and most certainly has other paying clients they need to also make time for in order to pay their own bills.
