Posted on Tuesday, February 23, 2010

The State Foreclosure Prevention Working Group was formed in the summer of 2007 with the goal
to reduce the number of foreclosures by encouraging loan modifications and other sustainable, long-term solutions. The Group currently consists of representatives of the Attorneys General of 12 states (Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Iowa, Massachusetts, Nevada, North Carolina, Ohio, Texas, and Washington), three state bank regulators (Maryland, New York and North Carolina), and the Conference of State Bank Supervisors.
