Connectivity is another huge expense. It’s one that snuck up on us over the past decade and former generations didn’t have to deal with. We all talked about how technology would change our lives but we certainly weren’t thinking about it in terms of driving us to the poor house; cell phones, cable TV, internet access, wireless accounts for our laptops and i-pads. First, these have to be looked at at least twice a year. First of all to cut back where you can – an i-phone for each of your kids is not a necessity even if they tell you everyone else has one! But also because plans change, new incentives come out. And billing mistakes occur. They’ll only go back a month or two to make corrections, so keep an eye on it.
